The academy aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum to meet the emotional and academic needs of each student with a personalised curriculum offering. The academy will seek to provide services and outreach to enable reintegration for many of its learners, where every child is valued and no child is left behind.
We believe that teaching young people how to achieve in their core subjects, manage personal behaviours and develop strong employability skills is vital to success.
The Nexus Academy will deliver an alternative provision, which recognises that students are all individuals with different strengths and weaknesses, whilst acknowledging that mainstream education is not for everyone.
We will provide our students with a chance to engage in education whilst they prepare to regain a mainstream school place. Students may find alternative placements supported by the academy or develop a range of skills to prepare them for employment, apprenticeship or other study routes post 16.
